HCG Dieter Gourmet Cookbook – HCG Diet Recipes
The HCG or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin hormone is being known nowadays for its effect on Weight Loss. It has been studied and discussed as a weight loss treatment for forty years. Synthesized artificially, HCG may be taken orally or parenterally, that is via an injection. Administering synthetic HCG, however, must be coupled with strictly adhering to a very low calorie diet or VLCD. Samples of recipes include: a dish wherein lean hamburger meat, shrimp, fish, or poultry is mixed together with garlic, onion salt, tomatoes, and Italian seasoning to come up with a delicious meal for the meat-lover; a fish entrée wherein white fish is grilled and topped with garlic salt, paprika, and chilli mix; and an iced beverage wherein fresh lemon juice, tomato, artificial sweetener, garlic clove, Tabasco, salt, pepper, and celery seed are blended together and chilled.
The principle here is to avoid fatty foods and anything with sugar or starch. Sugar stimulates the production of insulin, which in turn is converted into fat. Eating foods with sugar or starch is strictly prohibited during the diet itself, as well as during the three weeks just after doing the HCG diet.
Having limited food selections is a challenge for those who are following this type of diet, and the restricted menu makes it really difficult to follow. But then again, buying HCG diet cookbooks or utilizing the Net are a big help in finding a variety of HCG diet recipes.
Using the proper resources, such as cookbooks will make it easier for HCG dieters to adhere to it. However, keep in mind that any diet will only be effective if it changes your behavior towards sustaining the weight loss you have achieved.
