Farmhouse Dripping Cake 340g (12oz) Plain Flour
170g (6oz) Dripping
170g (6oz) Light Brown Sugar
150ml (¼ pint) Milk
110g (4oz) Currants
110g (4oz) Sultanas
50g (2oz) Butter or Margarine
1 egg, beaten
3 tsp Baking Powder
¼ tsp Nutmeg
Pinch Salt
Pre-heat oven to 180°C: 350°F: Gas 4.

Maids Of Honour 225g (8oz) Puff Pastry
225g (8oz) Curd or Cottage Cheese
1 Egg
1 Lemon
75g (3oz) Sugar
50g (2oz) Currants
15g (½ oz) Blanched Almonds
15g (½ oz) Butter
2 tsp Brandy
